About The Program
In celebration of International Girls in ICT Day, YCDI presents #iamWITy.
#iamWITy is a tech immersive competition for high school and university female students who will come together in teams to create a solution around this year’s theme:
DIGITAL INCLUSION USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The team participants will have a unique opportunity to have a mentor to support their ideation alongside weekly online workshops,over a four week period, between March 23- April 17, 2020 in preparation for the competition finals on April 23, 2020.
This year's workshops will be focusing on 4 main areas

Providing access to information with chatbots
IMAGE RECOGNITION
Seeing the world with image recognition
BLOCKCHAIN
Authenticity and integrity with blockchain
MACHINE LEARNING
Seeing the world with machine learning

What is International Women’s Day ?International Girls in ICT Day is an initiative, backed by ITU Member States, to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider studies and careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies.

Can I still participate if I have no experience in AI or IT in general ?Yes,You can participate in the four week workshop series and our breakout sessions on the day.

What is Digital Inclusion?Digital Inclusion is about empowering all people – regardless of gender, age, ability, or location – to equally benefit from the opportunities offered by ICTs.

What is Artificial Intelligence?Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans.

What Learning workshops will be included?Image Recognition, Chatbot, Blockchain and Design Learning

Can more than one team enter per school?Yes but a maximum of three teams per school.
