YCDI Project Amplify Summer Camp

Project Amplify celebrates Phase 3 of its program with the YCDI Summer Camp! 

Project Amplify Summer Camp is an exciting and immersive program designed to empower young students with the knowledge and skills to explore and shape cutting-edge digital landscapes. As a collaboration between Youth Can Do I.T. (YCDI) and Jesus College at Oxford University, the camp aims to inspire creativity, foster critical thinking, and encourage responsible use of emerging digital environments, with a special focus on the metaverse.

We want to empower students to build and govern their virtual worlds with confidence and creativity. The camp will provide tangible outcomes, including each participant owning a digital space and contributing to ethical guidelines. Foster skills-building and strengths development through engaging workshops and interactive sessions. Offer an all-day camp experience from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, filled with exciting activities and opportunities to explore the metaverse.

Facilitate collaborative learning and networking with expert speakers, industry professionals, and like-minded peers.

Camp Activities:  Designing in the Metaverse: Students will explore the world of metaverse design, creating their virtual spaces and avatars. Intro to Web Dev: Participants will get a taste of web development, gaining valuable technical skills. Strengths-Building: Students will discover and develop their strengths through engaging activities. 

Outside Speakers: Inspirational guest speakers will share their insights and experiences in the digital landscape.
